Biography & CV
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, to Brooklyn, Robert Lundberg now finds himself exploring upstate New York.
His photographic works have been featured in publications such as The Huffington Post, Paste Magazine, Brokelyn, Vents Magazine, Do NYC, No Depression, The Patch and countless others including podcasts.
In October 2017 his work was featured in Chelsea, New York at the Clio Art Fair, and in June 2018 he debuted his solo show “Uncontaminated Sound” at the Bowery Electric. 2019 saw Lundberg showcasing “Uncontaminated Sound II” at Arlene’s Grocery and beyond.
2023 had seen the production of the largest Uncontaminated Sound to date. With 74 curated images from his last 5 or so years of documenting culture, presented on the historic walls of the Howland Cultural Center, in Beacon, NY. Pairing with the images, he brought in accomplished musicians Jeffrey Lewis and Indigo Sparke to open up the 6 week exhibition.
When 2020 hit, Lundberg kicked off his candid conversation series "Uncontaminated Sound: The Interviews" distributing the video recording through Toronto based V13 media. Respectfully growing the series to nearly 700,000 views and 65 conversations with artists, musicians, producers, filmmakers, and writers, and creators of all mediums and levels. After a brief hiatus, he plans on bringing the series back before the end of 2023.
Conversely, Lundberg explores his own primal instinct through the making of subconscious markings, using a diverse array of mediums including acrylic, India ink and charcoal, he hopes to express the visceral and nebulous inner workings of the self.
He is also an advocate for a better planet and traveler, and in June had the honor of being a volunteer crew member and onboard reporter on the famed "American Promise", a 61' oceanographic research vessel for The Rozalia Project. Sailing out of Bar Harbor, ME
he documented a 7 night excursion in the Gulf of Maine, while participating in a marine debris cleanup from Bois Bubert Island in collaboration with Maine Island Trail Association.
Currently he is hashing out a few documentary ideas based off his experiences in Maine and his travels in Central America.
